I know it’s terrible but I honestly still get surprised when I create something that tastes REALLY good. Like I shouldn’t be that surprised, I’m meant to be a ‘recipe developer’. Yet my face still lights up, a huge smile comes across my face and I exclaim “oh my god this is actually good!”. Go figure. Well this chocolate brownie overnight oats was one of those moments. I came up with some recipes to film for a youtube video (go subscribe if you haven’t already!) and this was one of them. When I pulled it out of the fridge after it had been soaking overnight, let me tell you, I was a happy gal. All three recipes were an absolute hit, maybe I’m not so bad at this “recipe” thing.
Overnight oats are an absolute god-send for on-the go busy people. If you’re a regular breakfast-skipper simply because you have NO time in the morning, then stick with me. I’m about to give you a breakfast recipe that leaves you no excuses. I feel like a fraud trying to pass this off as a ‘recipe’ because it really is SO simple. All it requires you to do is throw everything into a jar, shake it up and pop it in the fridge. Think of how many dishes you’ll be saving too! This recipe is dairy free but feel free to swap out any of the ingredients for something else i.e. almond milk for cows milk. It’s a very flexible recipe so go nuts.. speaking of nuts, why not add some in? Double or triple this recipe to make extra for days ahead.
